What's the best time of day to race?

I don't have a radar detector...yet (I will soon, though), and I was wondering when the best time of day is to race. Day? Night? Basically, when are the cops LEAST likely to hunt you down?

By the way, has anyone ever evaded a cop before? Some *** in one of my classes did that just the other day in a subdivision. He lost the cop by taking a bunch of turns and then jumping back onto the open road. Apparently the cop lost him. He was bragging about it today at school. I bet he's in deep **** cause the cop probably got his license. Anyone ever gotten away with it, though?

Uh... your batting a 1000 today aren't you?

There is no "good" time to street race. If you do, takes you chances and prepare for a ticket.

Evading cops? The last time I checked, you can't outrun a police radio. You buddy is probably BSing you and your friends.

For the 2nd time today, your thread is treading dangerously on delete mode.

In broad daylight ... where all the high school kids can watch you roadkill whatever you're racing.

It's a great way to pick up tail.

Sheesh. No wonder none of my maxima friends go on this sight. They're right, you guys do love to bash just about anyone you don't like.

As for outrunning the cop. I figured he's BSing me. He drives around a fully riced-out Civic with (as he claims) 320hp. A good 150 must be from his NOS cause he's still got the stock engine in it (what an ***).

Common. Play nice. You don't have to drive away more and more of your members

Comes with the terriotory. You'll get used to it and learn how to and how not to post certain things. As far as the street racing goes it is hard to say because a harrd running engine or chirping tires can be heard from a long ways off. Best bet is not to but, most likely you will anyway. So if you do just tripple check the area if possible or best yet is take it to the track.

Once again your right...people do bash for no reason.

Jeff92se - I am sure people outrun cops. I have done it twice...got caught once..The first time I pulled into a development, pulled up a driveway, and shut the car...the cop picked up the car that was behind me instead of me. The second time I pulled into a parking lot where the cop found me a few mins later.I don't know if you consider this evading, but I do. If they don't get a good look at your plate, your fine.

Gamezilla - I raced for a while before getting a radar detector...mostly because I didn't think they would work...now that I have one, I must have been nuts not to. I like racing whenever I am somewhere that I am familiar with and know where the cops hang. I race during the day and at night. During the day is easier, but the cops can see you easier also.

1) If you have to ask what is the best time to race, I would question your ability to race in the first place.

2) If you have to ask others if they evade police, again, you probably don't have the skill(?) to do it w/o getting caught.

3) This person is in highschool? Not the greatest of information to be handing out to a highschooler.

4) As far as your "friends" not posting here, well what can I say? With this many members, the bs has to be shut down hard and fast. Why? Because it interfers w/ the legit information being posted.

5) You really want this site to be known as the place where you find out how to evade police and rice race street advice? I think not.

Again, since this thread has little if no decent information other than my having to defend myself, it's approaching deep six time.

thanks.

WORST THREAD EVER!

[Flame mode]
If you really want to race you'd check the regional forums and find out which drag strip(s) everyone goes to. Street racing is very dangerous and should be avoided . I have to agree with Jeff, if you ask others if they evaded police then you obviously don't have the skills to do it. In the 1st place WTF would you run for? Hell a speeding ticket isn't worth going to jail and getting your liscense suspended. In other to stop another useless thread consider a passport 8500 or escort 846i radar detector.

P.S. IB4TL hehe

Does nobody understand!?

I'm not going out to set up a drag strip on a local street with a bunch of my friends or anything. All I was asking was - if someone taunts me to race, should I do it at all, and if so, does the time of day really matter?

I never thought of evading the cops myself. As I said in my first post, some ******* in my class was braggin about how he evaded a cop. I truthfully didn't beleave it that much. I was wondering if anyone had done it and gotten away with it to see if it could be done at all. As for me, I'd rather pick a fight with some killer bee's than try and outrun a cop.

By the way, all of you have been in highschool before, and just because I am doesn't mean I'm an *******. I sure hope someone beat on you back then just as bad as your beating on me right now.

Have a happy day, too.

Sunday morning 9:30 a.m.

That's when the first car is out the gates at our local autocross track. It's much more fun to beat up Honda's and Grand Am's on the twisties. It's also very gratifing (and very common) to turn in times better than the novices in their Corvettes, Porshes, and BMW's; someting you wouldn't be able to do in the 1/4 mile.

I tend to race while heavily intoxicated in a public place, at night, with my headlights off. Go do that.

its true..no times a good time to street race. just go an do it whenever and get killed. but as far as runnin' from the cops..its doable but i wouldnt. the one incidnet i had..and this wasnt exactly running from em either is when i was young an 16 with my juniors license drivin my max fast in fronta school. theres a big bend and everyone knows that school speed zones are like 15 mph so around the bend i was going like 35ish and i had to take up like a lil less than half the road to control the car (again..i was young and dumb)..so then a cop comes from teh other side and hes goin fast too and SWERVES to get outta my way. so im like ohhhhh @(#* and while im taking a left turn, look in the rear view mirror and hes abuot to make a 3 pt turn. i wouldve gotten my license taken away cause it was during my probation period and i gunned it takin ridiculous turns left and right..finally get home and garage the thing. i was shaken..it was scary. dont ever run! i got away..but it was plain luck.

The only "racing" you'll be doing is when you're running away from Bubba in the prison showers.

Street racers annoy me to no end. They are just little
punks that need to get ***** slapped. You stupid little
hormone rage is putting every other motorist in danger.

What the hell? Not only is that not funny, it's not even true. I DON'T go out and street race. In fact, I rarely race anyone who provokes me. If I wanted to do some serious racing, it'd be at the track, not on the street. But every once and a while, someone just bugs you to give em a little run. I most certainly don't pick fights. It's when someone starts picken fights with me that I respond. That's the whole point of the thread. Should I even race em, or should I just let them laugh at me cause I'm a *****.

i say the best time to race is after dinner.. because you'll be glad you had our last home cooked meal if for some reason you get arrested for public endangerment.

but as far as performance goes.. i say midnight when the earth had had alot of time to cool, or early early morning before the earth gets baked by the sun making the air nice and cool.

No time of day is the best time for street racing but if you are determined it would brobably have to be the same time of day that the other guy was racing.
