Haha it looks like he took the engine cover from the DE-K and claims he swapped engines...

The valve cover, IM and throttle body/IACV are all from a DE and I highly doubt that they bothered to swap everything over like that. What would the point be?

 

So I just got an email back from him.

I asked
"I have a question about the car,
1) you stated that the car has a new, "larger" motor. What is "larger" about it"

He said
"The shop that put it in for me got the engine and said it was a little bit bigger engine but everything hooked up right. That is all I know about it. I'm not sure what size it is."

I proceeded to tell him he got ripped
"Just a little FYI. Its the stock engine and it is NOT out of a 2000-2001 car. Those models run different UIM's, which are referred to as the 00vi (vi for variable intake) they are also made out of a black plastic. "

 

lol, sounds like he knew that already but is blaming the shop...

 

Yeah, I got the feeling that this dude is trying to "take someone for a ride" if you know what I mean.

 

Unless the shop took him "for a ride". Why so many haterz in here?

So now dude is trying to tell me its a "dek" but the shop removed the 00vi and put on a performance intake......IMO dudes just trying to lie about what he's selling. He also told me the they had to get a block off plate for the side of the manifold. I was like "thats not a 3.5"

I just dont believe there is a shop

 

One thing is true, that's the only color that would remotely tempt me to buy a 4th gen.

Removing the 00vi for a performance intake?!
Though on an 00vi there is a little plate on the side of the manifold that covers the power rod. But it doesn't matter, because he still has the USIM.
