strut and spring change question

I was wondering what do I need for a full suspension swap? ive had a NASTY sqeak from my front driver side for over a year and i've finally had it so Im ordering Eibach Springs and Illuminas and I'm planning on doing the change with my dad in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if there's anything else i'll need to change when i remove the old spring and struts...

thanks

Strut bearings
Strut dust boots
Strut mounts
Isolation sheves
Upper Rubber spring perch
NOTE: Make sure the word OUT on the upper spring perch faces outwards and is in line with the strut's lower mounting flange.
Check the condition of the sway bar end links and sway bar bushings.
Check the condition of the lower control arm bushings and ball joint.
Check the tie rod, inner and outter ends.

Don't forget to get a can of BP blaster for rusted bolts if you have any.

+1 Definitely need an impact wrench if you dont want it to take all weekend as you will need to use a spring compressor to remove the stock springs from the shocks or install the new springs on the new shocks. An impact makes all the difference in the world, trust me.

Hey Guys. New to the forum. I have a 2000 Maxima. I just got Tokico Illumina's and S-Tech Springs that are going to lower the car by 1.4 inches all around. I am looking into getting Enkei EDR9's in 17 or 18's. Will the 18's cause fender rub? And also, I would perfer they just fit on (no customization). What is the best width and offset to use? Width options are 7, 7.5 or 8 and offset is either 45mm or 38mm. Thanks for the help. Need to know so I can order.

Ominous,

I don't know where you got your information but S-techs are MUCH lower than 1.4. S-tech's are 2.2F, 1.6R.

As for offset and wheel size, you're better off checking the measurements thread in the wheel/tire section.

PM me if you have any questions - I do suspension installs for a LOT of local org members, and I'm local to you, only about 30 minutes away. I can definitely help you out.
