Starting Problem/Service Engine Light
I have a 97 SE Max and Yesterday the "service engine soon" light came on and lately I have been having problem starting the car during cold weather. The light showed up after I've been trying to start it, it took 8 times before it started. So today I brough it to the dealer and found out that I have a bad O2 sensor and that they will replace it. That was this moring, I Still have the same "Starting Problem". Any idea why?

Re: Starting Problem/Service Engine Light
Cold starting problems were probably unreleated to the Oxygen sensor(s) going bad. Several of us have developed the cold start problem. Suspect components may include: spark plugs, fuel filter, starter, battery, battery cable and connections, dirty throttle body, and some other various doo-dads. I've serviced all the above (except starter) in the warm season and so far, I haven't had any problems starting. Expect to see more posts and maybe solutions once the cold weather really hits.
