give yourself a good hour or 2. Dont plan on driving for awhile after you paint them so you better have things planned out so you dont have to drive anywhere until the paint cures.

It depends on how you are planning to paint them, brush-on or spray. I used a brush on caliper paint kit and it took me 2-3 hours to complete the job. Don't drive your car for at least 24 hours.

I got it from Nathan last summer. The kit is called FoliaTec and comes with break cleaner, thinner and paint.

I think this is definitely something to do when you have a lot of time. If you hurry it, it'll probably look like crap. Lots of coats and lots of time to dry. I took mine clear off the car to do them. They've got to be super clean too.

Umm...

1 - 1.5 hours per caliper (don't put wheel on until it is completely dry), 10 hours to sit and dry when you think you're done.

15 Min each caliper, best thing is raise the car on the jack stands and let it be like that for about 3 hours in this kind of weather.

me and my buddy just painted his calipers and drums yesterday. Off the car, two coats of high temp paint after HEAVY cleaning, let sit for about half an hour, they will be dry to the touch, put back on car, leave in the air for 5-6 hours or overnight, wheels back on, job well done.

Peace

also, if you live in a climate with winter weather then wait until the spring because otherwise it will take a beating this winter.

No, No, No, I painted my calipers, 3 coats, about 20 minutes per coat with VHT High Temp Caliper Paint. One hour later I drove the car. Why? because the heat from the calipers baked on the finish. It's as hard as a rock now. It smelled the first day, but what a better way to bake on the paint.

thats what i did, i just didnt use any high heat paint. 3 months and still fine. I will have to redo them when spring comes anyways because of all the salt.

You had better get the FoliaTec and give it 24 hrs like said. Trust me, you'll be doing it over again or worse- ruin your wheels.

I'm curious, how would it ruin your wheels?
