shaved trunk, but now want to put back letters

i shaved my trunk a while ago and now ive grown out of that and want to put the letters back.

any idea what type of adhesive to use that wont damage the paint but yet hold the pieces firmly in place even in wet weather.

How are you going to get the letters spaced evenly, centered, and perfectly level?

im going to put my letters back on soon too. ive thought about that. its going to take some measuring and some time. or i could just leave the letters on the front seat and let Carmax put it back on.

Use the '97-'99 Emblem, one-piece!

if you know anyone else that has a 95-96 max, make a template from their trunk align the letters..

ive seen a couple of maximas with the letters on the back messed up because they had body work or something and the shop didnt put them back on correctly.

normal back: (N)

M A X I M A

i saw one thats: (N)

M A X I M A

and one thats: (N)

M A X I M A (too low on the trunk)

although subtle mistakes, they looked rediculous

Could've been worse:

Those shops could have put the "M" on upside down.

i just realized my little works of art didnt post like they should have. basically one "MAXIMA" was off center and the other was too far down.

Get someone with a 95-96 to go measure how far from the bottom or the top of the trunk the bottom of the lettering begins. .2" won't make a big difference so a small error isn't a problem... Just align the letters in the center and that's it.

If I decide to shave mine, I will measure it before hand to make sure, since i plan on putting them back on eventually when it's time to sell the car.
