Got pulled over - speeding - police are the best

Last night I was out, there had been 9 of us in my car (I was in my tahoe('01LT w/ 295hp) since my max is in the body shop after the hit&run incident).. I was rolling down a 4lane road, a 35mph zone.. on the phone, two friends in the car playing with radio and crap... next thing I knew i was pulled over for 53 in 35mph zone.. the cop took my license (which I almost couldnt find and he saw my id haha, but it was ky state, he thought it was a fake..) I couldnt find up-to-date insurance card but he didnt care, and was just like "any reason for going so fast" and I was like "no sir" and he goes, "well slow it down, have a good weekend." and that was it ! !! ! another classic story of louisville cops letting us go with a warning! they are the best haha.. (my friends have gottten pulled over doing 95 in 65 and got off haha)

I love Louisville cops!

Two words you thought you'd never hear on this board 1 after the next...

"love cops"

Lucky you. However, you know that doesn't mean that it's okay to speed right?
Wish NY cops were the same way, although they aren't that bad, I've never been pulled over for speeding, but my friends have and the cops usually reduce the actual speed the person was going, and write you up for less. Not all cops suck.

one other time,

i was holding up the fast lane (going 65 in a 65) and a cop tailed me sooo bad and then finally pulled out to pass me REAL fast.. from the lights i thought it was a mustang and hit the gas. he got right beside my car (dark tinted windows, and late at night, plus his car was navy) my friend (passenger seat) yells "F*CK its a cop!!!!!" so I slammedon my brakes, and got pulled over the cop cussed at me, and told me learn respect for the roads and all that.. I was just super nice to him, "yes sir, sorry sir, yes sir" and he let me go!!! dont know what speed but we probably close to 100 - i could not believe it. I was on the phone with someone, they thought it was a joke when I said "GOTTA GO, JUST RACED A COP!" and hungup haha

FOP badges = No tickets.

Been pulled over five times and got one ticket for "Disobeying a traffic control device" and that was for doing 81 in a 55. I was happy with that ticket.

Dude y'all are so lucky. If you live in Duluth, GA don't ever do anything wrong. I MEAN ANYTHING. I got pulled over by those cops 3 times already. Once for 63 in 35. Once for 45-35. And ONCE FOR LOUD MUSIC!! They told there was a "BOOM BOX LAW" in that city. I had to pay $195 for that boom box law ticket. OMFG

Ha ha ha! You guys are funny. Come to California, things are just a little different! Getting pulled over is almost part of the daily routine.

Don't sleep on IL cops

a) Chicago Police are a real trip when it comes to tint and sounds.
If the cops can hear you 25 feet away, you are getting nailed. The fines for sounds are pretty steep ($500, then another $105 to get the car out of the pound). Some of the suburban cops will nail you even faster than CPD.

b) Getting nailed by the Illinois State Police is not exactly a day at the beach. To give you an idea, Car and Driver had a ten best for states where you are likely to get a ticket. Illinois was #5 but their rank ought to be much higher. The worst ones are District 15 (Tollway) and the districts south of I-70. In fact, the closer you get to Cairo, the likelihood of getting a ticket is higher. FOP stickers don't give you immunity.

I would add many stories but I don't want to jinks myself. Although I find not having hair down past you shoulders does keep you away from cops. The whole idea of rebels or some bull something or another.

There are plenty of good cops out there. But it are those bad ones that really make the bacon?!.

There are Fraternal Order of Police supporter stickers, which anyone can get for donating

And then there are FOP badges, which only police officers and their immediate family can get. My dad is a retired police officer, and everytime I say that the response is the same. "I don't want to bust some officers kid, so take it easy and slow down."
