I was going to do it last night but, after working a 14hr day that started at 4am, only things on my mind were dinner, sex, then sleep. If i manage to get off at a decent time tonight and it is not still raining then ill run down the road and get a picture. Doctors offices are one thing this city has no shortage of.

That's not a fair challenge. Most (if any at all) 4th gen colors are not available in other gens.

I would not think it would have to be an exact match. Tan, Red, Black, Blue, instead of Pebble Beach and Coral sand. Its Tan.

No, it doesn't. Remember, this is supposed to be for fun; it's not a mid-term exam.

Haven't seen too many pearl white Max's running around. I've seen a few of them in my gen, but not much else. Hopefully someone can pull off the challenge. If not, then the challenger has to complete his own challenge or lose a point.

48 hours for someone to complete; 24 hours for challenger to complete, right?

Was not that hard. Grabbed the D90 on the way out the door to run some errands and got this at my second stop. We pulled up at the same time.

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your maxima with one wheel in a pothole full of water.

Not the same color.......................... you would have to find a black car of any gen or a sterling or gold 4th n 5th gen or silver 5th and 6th.... good challenge... mods may be needed for this or the person who posted the challenge

Let me get this straight. You think that the cars have to be an exact match? Both of the cars are tan in my opinion. I already knew i would not find and exact match since it is only available on the 6.5 gen. Didn't you read where i asked if the cars had to be an exact match and the poster of the challenge said that it did not? And that this is supposed to be a fun game. Did you just pop in and see the reminder of the rules then scroll down to the bottom to see the new post? Both cars are tan. I will not be exempt because there is not exact match to my 07 Pebble beach. I'm sure others will agree.

Rules are rules. The goal is to hold each other accountable while still having fun.
Per Wikipedia, the meaning of the term beige applies to a tan or light brown color and has expanded to the point where it is now also used not only for pale yellow colors, but also for a wide range of pale brown shades.
The color is significantly different between cars, if it was close i could see your argument. But youre basing your position off the color name, which IMO is a stretch here. However, i believe the best course is that the Challenger needs to make thus call.

how fun can a game really get when you get into this extreme technicality of using encyclopedia's n wiki's???.. cmon man... lets get technical then... the OP didnt say beside a "beige" car... duh they dont have to be the exact same paint code but damn, make the color look similar... with ur color the 4th gens and 5th gens are hella closer... but its not up to me its up to the OP... im just throwing the red flag

Color variations vary from year to year, and from gen to gen with every auto manufacturer out there. It's always been that way. Few colors ever get carried over as the years go by. There are a few exceptions to this, with Porsche's Guard's red being one of them. Porsche has been producing Guard's red for years.

The way I see it, this challenge is tough, and the colors of these two cars is close enough. If we start getting super technical and splitting hairs with challenges, then the interest of the game will be lost and it will die out. The whole point of the picture challenge is to have fun.

I say let's move along to the next challenge and keep the momentum going.

Geez Louise!!!

The color is close enough; we're not swapping parts. I say give DAlastDON a point and we go on to his challenge:

I brought in wiki definition because that was Dalastdon's argument for why he met the challenge. The point was beige and tan are NOT necessarily the same. And that is why the OP got to make the call. No more complicated.
Back to the fun!!

Sorry for the delay. I've went through since I last updated the scores. As always, let me know if there is an error. Keep in mind, if you had to complete your own challenge, you DO NOT get a point...only you do not LOSE a point.

Nelledge - 1..........MoncefA33 - 1..........RichieBXNY - 1
T_Behr904 - 7..........Schmellyfart - 4..........S1imply_v - 1

Columbian4u - 1..........Dondadah88 - 1..........026sp - 1
Gizmo - 4..........Ninja 1058 - 1..........Maxxed 816 - 1

Roadwarrior - 2..........Cajun1104 - 8..........yoitsme - 1
luvlexus101 - 0..........Nexus67 - 1..........Zeirgul - 4

Maximus92 - 4..........Spyguy - 1..........2brosgixxer - 10
DennisMik - (-1)..........Dee Signs - 2..........JLaugh - 4

InfiniMax96 - 1..........IslandMax - 0..........FatKid - 0
Decimus Meridias - 1..........ShocknAwe - 4..........Dalastdon - 6

036mtmax - 0..........Maxima21 - 2..........Maximaboy12 - 9
denvern - 1..........T200 - 1..........GrandHustle - 1

Current challenge: Your maxima with one wheel in a pothole full of water.

I believe at this point, the originaly challenger must complete this one or face lose of a point. I've marked the two leaders in RED.

I think the pothole full of water is an interesting challenge. The only downside to it, for me at least, is that we haven't had any significant rain in a while, and there aren't many potholes around here since we don't have enough freezing weather to break up the pavement.

Six points is better than five points. Time to post up.

Good point on the challenge. I was afraid that this pot hole would have been frozen solid. It has stayed below freezing for the past couple of days. It just got into the thirty's today.

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your maxima at a flower shop.
