I've decided to start work on A Music Video with Maxima Footage. A lot like HondaHookup.com's videos, but with Maximas, Maximas, Maximas. I've downloaded all the source videos I can find. I just wanted to get some opinions on which background music people would find matching? If I'm totally Off base with the selections, give me some ideas on songs.

If you wanna see an example of my work w/ music videos, here's a special sample that no one ever has seen: a 14-second teaser of a music video I recently did. It's a video tribute to 9/11, but I think I did it a bit better than the other ones out there. It's set to "Theme from Armaggedon" by Trevor Rabin. Here: http://www.geocities.com/maarky_mark.../911sample.mpg

BTW, If you're an owner of one of the videos I use, I will contact you before I release it. I won't be stealing anybody's videos, here.

I don't think any of the ones you listed are really appropriate... I don't know the first one though. For high speed driving, fast techno or trance is always good. "Bodyrock" by Moby would be good for a mix of still scenes and those at speed. I would skip "Forgot about Dre" cause immediately when I hear that song I think of lowriders, not Maximas...

Thanks very much. Photoshop + boredom = my sig. I still wish you couldn't see the crappy Maaco color matching in the front bumper, but oh well. You can see it on the car in real life, why not in pictures.

Damn, looks like the same screw-up too... must be a thing with the flex agent. I bet your dealer didn't leave the keys in the door while the car was parked all day on a main street though.

F*ck Maaco.

To keep the thread on topic, the DTMPower guys have used this song but I really like it for driving footage, try Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky.

Most of the stuff from Metallica's older albums. There are a lot of fast songs with long guitar riffs and the songs are longer than 3 minutes

Most are. I was hosting a site for my friends band and they killed our site because we uploaded a .mp3. The .mp3 was of the kids own band recorded on his own 8 track in his room. They still did not believe us though and cancelled our account.

Why does someone have to ask me what my preference was? He asked what kind of music he should use, and I expressed my opinion. If you don't like that, then oh well. I am over it.

I'm partial to driving with punk music...its so fast paced that if the fast driving doesn't do it enough...then the music makes your heart fly...try:
Blink 182 - Dammit
Bouncing Souls - Kid
Fenix Tx - All My Fault
Green Day - J.A.R.
Offspring - Smash (This is a really good one)
Any Pennywise
Happy music you ask for??? - Weezer - Island In The Sun
oh yea...and any Linkin Park...awesome driving music

later,
adrian

he asked what you like.. he didn't ask what you don't like.. you like alternative or whatever.. say it and keep it moving.. no one asked you to comment on what you don't like.. no one cares what your personal preference is.. we are not riding in your car and we are not comign to your house for parties

I have the right to my opinion, so don't get on me for saying what not to use.

Why don't you go back and READ MY first post. I stated some songs to use. So you are telling me that you ALWAYS read and actually ANSWER the question? Give me a break.
