help me with some encouragement...

ok, i've owned my 99 gxe for almost 4 yrs. when i bought the car i bought it because i needed a car to go to work the next day (insurance money). the owner that owned the car before me beat the car to ****. for the past 3 years i've been replacing a bunch of parts that could of been avoided if owner took care of the car. also i wasnt doing well financially so money i could of used for modding i used for fixing the problems. i guess i'm loosing interest because i've had the car for so long and its still looks the same and i'm tired of replacing parts. cant sell the car for a decent price due to the amount of miles on the car (270K), even to replace it with a lower mile one :/. i'm now able to start doing what i want to do but its like "yay i can start modding my car with no problem, but i dont feel like keeping my car :/ (lol). i'm weird when it comes to modding cars, if i have a goal for it i dont stop until i reach it. i have a short term goal for my car (cosmetics) which, i think, will make it different from all of the rest of the 4th gens in the site (which is a little encouragement) but just the fact that i'm tired the car that doesnt make me want to keep going on my goal. the only thing i like about my car is that i dont have to worry about walking out of the mall or store and find it stolen, so thats a plus lol.

so, fellow org'rs help me get encouragement to keeping my car/staying in the maxima scene.

I feel you, i have an 03 maxima. and everytime i get some money to mod it. I have to replace a piece or get a new part. I got the car in 2007 from my aunt and it was beat to **** i had to spend alot of money in making the car drive smooth again, and now I have to replace the axle because of an accident from before I got the car was fixed with a shoddy mechanic and now the work that should have been done correctly isin, but I dont let it discourage me. once that's fixed I will go and really mod it. All ive ever done is get new suspension and the 2000 ae tails and the wind deflectors.

You might as well keep it. Selling it for the $1K you're gonna get for it is not worth it IMHO.

Let the modding begin.

Agreed. With yours, you know what you've replaced already which is a plus because you can expect (hope) that these parts are fixed for a while. If you get another with a little less miles, who knows what has or has not already been replaced and what is about to go. You could spend that 1k in all the same repairs you just did to your car. Which would be miserable.

I would get modding while things are running good.

Mod. Mod. Mod. Mod.

Not point in selling when you've already put so much love in it.

That's exactly what's been going on with me, all I've done was lowering springs, rear window, and wheels(only because they were literally a steal). I spent over$800 on my ac and it only blows cold when its in the 80's outside. Anything hotter than that I doesn't blow cold :/. Just tired of everything, hopefully it'll be nothing but nodding from here on
