I know a lot of you guys and gals love to mod your Maxima (or I30/35) and I was wondering how much you have probably spent on mods and stuff. Mods add up without you realizing it, don't they

Just over $4,000, but I've only had the car for 4 months. Only about $1,500 to go - all in the performance department though (Y pipe, CAI, exhaust). I've now got my suspension fully taken care of.

Damn. So far I've spent about $1,600 in stuff for my car. That includes some stuff that is not on my car yet. I have so much more stuff planned too. I'm not gonna want to know how much money I've dropped when I'm done.

Later,

Yikes, my fiancee' will kill me if I spend big bucks on this car.

Seriously, the Max is my daily driver, so she's only getting some small stuff...clear markers, maybe an intake of some sort, and definitely a sunroof. I know I'm gonna miss my convertible once the nice weather comes back.

On the other hand, I've spent about $8K on my Monte. That includes a new motor (worked IROC 305), rebuilt tranny, posi rear, custom exhaust, new suspension, 16" wheels, and a bunch more other stuff. Still need another $4K for bodywork and paint. I can't imagine spending $15Gs and still having more to do...crikey!!

1991 GXE

maintenece: ~$3k(tranny, H20 pump, timing belt, regular maintenence)

mods: $1.5-2k(moderate stereo setup, intake, Y-pipe(coming), muffler, suspension and some other goodies here and there) pretty good for a broke college kid with no debt!

Hmmm, stereo about $6k, other mods, about $5k at last count. That was on my GXE, and I've dumped a couple grand in my SE since then. Just never counted after that. I'm afraid to add it up!

I didn't get depressed.. I got scared!
I ran a budget report in Quicken a while back, and I spend about 70% of my income on the car between gas, insurance, repairs, mods, etc etc.

ouch.

About $900, but that mostly sound system. I think I'd rather pay the car off first, then mod it.

I've spent about $3k on my stereo, but most of it was from my previous car (only $500 on the maxima)

I've spent about $2k on maxima stuff (got deals on used things) but I've sold some parts along the way, so only got about ($1,300 on the maxima).

I've got about $15k saved, but I need that for a house

About $1500.00 in mods and stereo equipment. Most of the stuff was given to me from reps and vendors.
