Question on Rubbing compound/Megiuars Fine/Medium Cut...
#1
Anyone use these products? My 93 is look pretty good but has strated to get these spots on the roof. You really can't notice them until you put you nose right up to the paint but they are there. It looks like a little crack in the clear coat. I was wondering if you guys have used anything to remove some of the clear coat(I know...BAD idea) but that would help remove these. The look like a little tiny circle spider crack.

bro never use a rubbing compound unless you never washed your car and it looks like sand paper...(like my 88 caprice )
use the lightest "cut" you can get your hands on. the clear is pretty thin..so just be careful.

You may want to use a clay bar before anything. The clay bar will make your paint super smooth. Then, follow it up with a fine cut cleaner and polish/glaze like Meguiars #7. In fact, try the #7 glaze first. If that fixes the problem, don't use the fine-cut cleaner. Always try and use the mildest product to see if it will work.
