This is the weirdest thing that ever happened to me

My car has one of the most unusual issues I've ever had since being around cars. The other day while off to a party I came out my car to talk to my boy to turn around to see my car window rolled up and car locked and was unable to get to the car. Trying to explain it would of been a little difficult so I made a video, so if there's anyone who can help me with this issue I'll appreciate it.

Looks really weird, could be smart entrance control. Try to disconnect all your accessories and see if it will improve anything, if not you may try to find smart entrance control on ebay and replace. Thats what I think, but I am not expert on those.

PS: This should be in 6th gen posts

Nah man I haven't done anything to do with the wiring. It suddenly started out of nowhere locking me outta the car.

I've never heard of that smart entrance control before but i'll check that. And I didn't put it in the 6thgen because nobody helps the 6thgen with their issues, and I was hoping that another generation maybe went through the same thing

My 2000 i30 has the same window issue. The window goes up and then down about 1/4 of the way. I have to manually pull it all the way up.

Have you checked your window motor control fluid yet? Common issue.

Don't know what that is, but I doubt that have anything to do with the door locking and all the windows going up. To me it seems like the alarm system is malfunctioning or something locking the doors and winding up the windows. It's not something I can fix but I want to atleast have an idea what i'm looking at before I take it to a mechanic and get ripped off.

All signs point to the GT-R badge causing the failure. This is just the beginning, you better take that off before it causes some serious damage!!

I don't know if you realize this or not, but you already made a fool of yourself in this thread before I even posted If you can't take a joke about your GT-R badge, then I guess you don't stand around your car a lot in public. Because I promise you people are clowning your GT-R badge all the time. Make fun of my die casts all you want, the reason I have fun with my sig is to relieve some of the temptation of unveiling my innovations to a world filled with biters and copycats until the time is right

I think you would be pretty humbled if you knew exactly how qualified I am to help you with your problem. Either way, your question has been at least partially answered already. Replace the alarm module, either with a stock one or aftermarket, granted it is what directly controls the lock/window signals. Not owning a 6th gen myself or wanting to rummage through a digital FSM for the schematic/wiring diagrams, I can't tell you whether or not that's the case right now. Ebay and self replacement will be your cheapest option. The dealership or any shop will rip you off on electrical issues, that's just how it is.

And honestly, I do think your paint scheme is pretty sick. Hopefully you thought of it yourself. If you yank that badge, your overall reputation level will go up substantially.

First of all you throw a direct blow and in your opinion was having fun. I don't think that you pointing out something so irrelevant to the thread was in any way shape or form funny. That's like holding a flame in while pumping gas. Had you given your expert advice from the get go instead of your sarcasm this discussion wouldn't have taken a nose dive into who's right or wrong. Judging by you reputation you're one of the more experienced and mature seniors so the sarcastic jokes are uncalled for, I'd expect that from the new guys who's just trying to make a name for themselves. The site was created to help others with their car not bring them down. Oh and if I spend thousands creating what looks like a GT-R concept and decide to put a badge on it and others don't like it that's their problem. Pay for my insurance, gas, maintanence, and what other cost there is affiliated with owning this car then tell me how what I should and shouldn't have.

And for the help you gave me thanks. I assumed it was the stock alarm system malfunctioning but I just wanted to be certain before I start replacing ish. Sent that same video to my boy at Nissan and he told me he never seen that in his entire life as a mechanic so that's why I created this ad to get some expert advice. And for the record the badge stays...

Anyone know if there's a way to disconnect the factory alarm without causing any issues?

The factory alarm is built into the BCM. The BCM has automatic control of the front windows and door locks. But it does not have automatic control of the rear windows. I would look for it to be the fault of an aftermarket alarm. Rolling all the windows up or down is a common feature for them.

That's the part that confuses me. The Compustar doesn't come with that feature and I've had this security system in my car for almost 6yrs with no issues, never the less I'll disconnect the aftermarket alarm and see if the car is still doing the crazy stuff.

Okay I'm out of options here... I disconnected my compustar alarm and it's still doing the stuff. So clearly it's my factory security system that's causing the window to roll up and doors lock. How can I go about...

Stick the key in the driver's door and turn it back and forth a few times. Don't know if you know this or not but if you stick the key in the door, turn it and hold it to either the left or right, the window will go up or down (depending on which way you turn it). I *think* it will only roll down the driver's window but it will roll all of them up, and obviously you can lock the car by turning the key. Been a while since I did it. Might just be the switch that's connected in there going nuts or just out of adjustment. Just an idea.

So what are you saying the key is key hole is probably in the lock position causing it to automatically wind up and lock the doors? I mean that could make sense because the key does control the lock and the window. My boy from nissan told me that's the first time he ever witness that. Maybe some lubricant is needed in the key hole?

That is crazy i have never seen a problem like that before, my first thought was also to unplug the aftermarket alarm. Since I know some of the more advanced alarms have functions to open and close the windows.

I am not sure about the newer maximas but 4th gens can only lower the windows with the OEM remote.

Anyways, good luck and keep us updated!

Couldn't hurt to lubricate it. I'm really not sure what how the switch or switches are connected in there but it's the only thing I could think of.
