I am new to the forum and also new to owning a Maxima. I just purchased a 2008 3.5SE. Love the car!! My wife called me this morning and said a exclamation point came on next to the RPM gauge??? Anybody know what this is? Does it need imediate attention?? Thanks in advance.

Did you know an owners manual is the most unread publication ever printed?

First off welcome to the org and congrats on your recent purchase! i have to agree with post above mine buy reading the owners manual. you'll be able to find your basic maintenance info in there. feel free to check the stickies for other juicy tidbits of info, like recalls tsb's stuff like that.if ya cant find an answer to something use the search function it helps alot.again welcome to the org and congrats on your purchase

Like Greeny said, its related to your TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors)

The light will come on if your tires get too low on air

TPMS. Hopefully you just need some air in a tire and not a TPMS issue which you need to get fixed. Congrats on the car. Welcome to the forum and enjoy that VQ engine. I have the same year... That VQ moves EFFORTLESSLY.

they're all wrong.

The ! next to the RPM gauge means she's going too fast, and pushing the gas pedal too hard, making the engine run too fast. Tell her to stop it, or else:
