headliner rattling. how to fix. help!

my 1 year old snapped a bracelet and slung beads into the dash from her car seat in the back and I thought that was causing my rattle but I found that when I push up hard on my rear view mirror base it stops. Is there a way to tightened this up somehow..the mirror isn't loose. I've heard 4th gens are bad about rattles but is this one that you've experienced?? Thanks!!

I get the same rattle right around the same spot for me. It doesnt rattle all the time for me. It usually rattles when its cold out. Very odd.

I would think that maybe we can stick some kind of insulation or damping tape to kill it.

Well actually it didn't start immediately after I thought the beads when into the defroster vents...maybe they didn't actually go in. But I started noticing mine when the really cold weather hit too...maybe this is all it is and we can't do anything about it...I was going to try to just tighten that mirror down if there is any play in it...otherwise I guess I have to live with it till it gets warm again...thanks!!
