Love my new 4th gen, but already disappointed with Nissan :(
Bought a 4th gen at a used car dealer last Sunday and I love it. Come from a background where I swapped a 3sgte into a celica gt and it was the only car I ever had for 9 years. Fun car to drive, but reliability was always an issue.
Now the max is my dd and I couldn't be happier. However, this Saturday I went to the parts dealer to get an oil filter and fuel filter (300zx one) at 4:30pm and they were already closed. Closed at 4pm on a Saturday. A little ridiculous if u ask me. Is it like this across the country or just here in California? There was another dealer that closed at 5pm, but I wouldn't have made it there in time.
Do all of these Nissan parts dealers close this early on a Saturday? They aren't even open Sunday. Now I got to wait all the way till next weekend to do my big maintenance overhaul to get her in dd shape.

No worries, I thought you were disappointed with the co., but I guess it's a particular dealership....
btw I used OEM religiously for about 12 years of my Maxima's life. Then one day my uncle borrowed it, and as a favor, he had the oil changed and used synth. Ever since then, I've used synth (it's not that much more from an absolute sense in $, yes it's a lot more %-wise still, but I feel the gap has closed), AND, I don't worry about the OEM filter anymore. As a matter of fact, for some reason on amazon.com the WIX filters dropped to $3.49, so I ordred 6. After I ordered, they went back up to $7.45. So for now I'm using WIX....

have to remember nearly nobody wants to work weekends and fulltime guys work weekdays and finding someone to just work Saturday would be tough
some dealerships are open Sundays here, i feel bad for whoever has to work
