Anyone know if Maxus 2013 will be happening?

 

Make it happen. Maxus over the last 2 years has bombed.

 

I heard it was. Im not a very good planner. Just wanna know if anyone is planning or heard anything about Maxus 2013. Early is always better if anyone is planning it. I never went to one so I wanna try to make it to the next one.

 

It has already been said that the next maxus should be held at the same time but in 2-3 locations. Like a NE, SE, & Westcoast maxus all on the same weekend.

Don't force ANYONE to pay or anything else. Just tell them when and where and recommend hotels and restaurants and that we will be at the drag strip this day, scenic cruise this day, car show where and at what time, dinner here at this time but you have to make your own reservations, etc. People form into groups at these things and not everyone wants to do everything at the same time like eat dinner all together.

Super planning it out is a bad idea. Maxus flopped recently for a number of reasons. Like I think literally like 3 maximas showed up last time. There wasn't even pictures of it. The year before the guy setting it up cluster F'd himself and pissed off alot of people. It got so bad they closed/deleted the threads if I remember correctly.

I could care less where you made the post. I think it is more appropriate in the general section as more people will look at it. If it gets moved it gets moved.

I like the idea of maxus spread out, internet voting, etc. Gets alot more people involved which can only help the next year be better etc. There are a few concentrations of maxima members and the rest are spread out. Like the NE is probably the largest with NY & Boston.

The good maxus to goto was 4-5 years ago. I don't really know what has changed other than IB buying the org...if anything there are more members now vs. then...maybe just bad locations or the wrong people were selected to be in charge?

 

Tough to say if another Maxus will be a success or not, especially with other car shows going on. Here in Florida, there was a Nissan Megameet this spring, but I didn't go because I went to a concert in south Florida on that same weekend. From the pics I saw, many Nissans and Infiniti's were there, including several Maximas.

 

most likely the next maxus will be all set on a regional level. it's clear participation is low due to the need for people to travel far.

it will most likely be a few large meets (hopefully) held on the same weekend across the country in certain regional areas.

 

BTW Danny, if you really want 2k12 shirts I'll make em, I kept the blanks and wear em as undershirts/working on car shirts now.

Being that I'm the only enthusiast within 500 miles, I'll just post on here and post pics, yeah, and drink a beer, that will be my Maxus.
