Bose audio problem

Hi guys i got a 2001 maxima SE 20TH AE and i got a problem with my Bose audio system...

everything is stock even the radio .... and sometime the amplifier (i think that is the problem) cut down and i got no bass at all.. to fix the problem sometimes when shutting off the radio and restart it and the bass get back ..

but today i try to close off the radio and bla bla 4-5 times and its dont work... so i open my trunk and punch the amplifier 2-3 time (very hard haha ) and ohhh the bass is back...

so i want to know if its fixable or if anyone got this problem and have fixed up himself.... but i think the problem is in the bose amplifier ..... OR the problem is with the radio??? (need some button cleaning ??!! )
i want to keep my stock audio system i like it that enough for me ...

so do i need to change my amplifier or???

thxx for help

Sounds like something is not making proper/full connection or is just flat out about to give out on you.

There is a how-to in the 5th gen forum. I think it involves replacing the relay in the amplifier. Do a search and you'll find it. Just make sure it is the one for the 2001 model.
