I was on my way home around 7:30 tonight, and I see a Porsche Carrera pull ahead of me. Luckily, I end up next to him at the next light, and I rev my AUTOMAGIC engine. He looks uninterested, but I start creeping anyways. When the light turns green, I give it about 3/4 throttle, and he stays behind me. Then all of a sudden he flies past me, and I floor it. He gets a 2 car lead, and then I keep flooring it. Talk about torque steer!! Anyways, I hit about 100, and hes got a 3 or 4 car lead, after that he shuts down, and I do too. Remember, we were in a 40 zone. This was the first race I ever lost, and I feel I should have lost by a lot more. My only performance mods are a stillen cat-back and stillen intake. But whatever, I'm happy to have lost to him, even though he probably was only at 3/4 throttle the whole time. Somehow I feel he should have beaten me by a LOT more.

No, I'm not Russ, I'm Nick. And I know it wasn't even a real race. It was just plain funny. You know each and every one of you would have done the exact same thing, only you would have done better.

 

 

Of course any of us would try and race a Carrera. Just seeing one at WOT is a thrill.

 

Only raced a couple with the motorcycle. I love kickin their asses. and then watching their expressions in my mirrors

if you use juice you can beat it, but you can't beat the turbos. I love a factory rating of well over 400 bhp.

 

I ran a boxster S a while ago, that was really ugly, I'm stock but losted by like 5 cars length by 100 KM/H not 100 mph, maybe that guy you raced wasn't trying since carrea is suppose to be faster than boxster S, no?

When I had my CRX I was drivin down this road at 10 one morning to go to work and a Viper RT/10 (or whatever) pulls up to the light.

I revved on him and we took off and I BLEW HIM AWAY!

It was one of those streets where there are like 5-10 lights until you get to where you are going. So I would jump the light, and he would rev past me, and we would stop at another light. We just kinda looked at each other and smiled. We were just kinda playin, but I think it's cool when rich people are just kinda playin with their $100k cars and not being ****s about it.

 

If it was a 996 with a good driver you would have lost by 15+ car lengths, and no, I'm not exaggerating.

 

I've mostly been racing whatever I can. I've beaten two Corollas, a V6 Malibu, and masses of Hondas, plus a Ford ZX2. All super easy wins. I agree, I should have lost by a lot more. Maybe I have a S/C and I don't know it
