I tihnk it just said that it finds the 'closest' match amongst a pool of dealers around your area. Basically it automatically tells you that specific dealers already have the car you want (or one close to it) right there on the lot.

If it works, that would be nice. Anything to help cut through some of the B.S. that the dealers try and feed customers.

Great point!

First of all, Dell builds the best pc. Nissan does not build the best car. Dell has bad customer service, and Nissan certainly has that too.

My bud ordred a sh****** of Dells for his small biz, and wouldn't you know, he decided he liked HP's RFP. Tried to cancel the order literally a few hours later. NO GO. Order in the shipping process, financial arragements approved. He refused the shipment. It took over 70 days for the credit company to be satisfied. Just because it also was called Dell (Financial Svc.) didn't mean they had anything to do with one another. Now even though the shipment of pcs would be more $$$ than a new car, I think a screw-up with a 22k car would freak a person more. BAd idea. Nissan's paridigm right now is a powerful car for invoice or less. If it shifts, worlds could collide.

The best computers and custom computers, ones your build yourself. That way you get what you want and customized the way you want it exactly. I never buy a computer from a manufacturer, I just build myself a new one.

Adds up to alot of downtime and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment. Not cost-effective for the home when a high-end P4/RDRAM'd Dell is $1100.

Time to start a flame war here. Dell is CRAP. My dad's office stopped buying dells a loong time ago just for that reason. They have to have such "good" customer service because their computers break so much. Funny, because most of the jobs my dad's office does are for Dell, but they refuse to use their computers. Dell is one of their worst customers to deal with. AMD on the other hand is one of their best, and all of our new computers are AMD based. I just finished putting together an accoutning server with Dual Athlon's. Its running like a charm, not one hickup, speedy as hell.

If/When we purchase them localy from small computer shops. They are cheap, and they use cheap components. But they last longer than Dell's. Funny how that works, isn't it? Me and my dad are the IT people (that is not my dad's official job, but he does that in addition to being the CFO). We repair the computers ourselves, none of this ship it off to the manufacturer crap.

A Nissan car is 1000x better than a Dell computer.

Also, do NOT under ANY circumstances tell me that for $1100 you can get a "high end" Dell. High end my !@##. A P4 with SDRAM, or RDRAM is NOT high end.

You want high end, and reliability, buy AMD.
