Maxima does handle well

Maxima does handle well
When the snow is a fallin'.
I got 57k on my RS-A's, one's a leakin' and there ain't much free air in this town, but I tell you snow's one case when the Maxima's handling actually does instill confidence (not false I hope!).
I did a quick check on my ABS by slamming the brakes on, works like a charm.
Finally we get some snow, maybe 8"!

I feel just the opposite. I think the Max is very ungainly in the snow. After 4 winters, I decided enough is enough and got snow tires. Much better but you should always have a healthy fear of snow and ice IMHO...

Just get some snow tires or all season performance/ultra high peformance tires for the Maxima. I got the Pirelli 7000SS and it is working out fine in the NE region. I drove on RSA and Proxies OEM tires before and never again.

i dont know
mine handles like ****
maybe something is wrong with my car, but it is floaty and steering response is absolutely horrible. I know the stock gxe suspension isn't all that, but i got the FSTB and grippy tires on, and it's still bad. my 93 SE stock, more abused, older and with beat up struts handled 10 times better. I didn't even bother taking it out in the snow, I have no ABS and don't want to risk it until the roads are cleaned.

57K on RS-A's you've got to be kidding me right? Those tire sucked after 30K. Noisey, handling was poor, they squealed way toooo much. Rain, snow - no way. There were great new, but a bit of ware on them made them one of the worst tires I've ever owned.
