To Wrap or NOT to Wrap
#2
If you know Brian, his reputation precedes him in the quality of his work. You should only tangibly have to wrap a flex section that needs to be muffled against the "bees in the can" sound...like my older WSP...(loved the pipe by the way.) Cattman's pipes are touted to have no problems at all so I can see no real need to wrap...
as well there have been comments about the moisture build up in the wraps and possible weakening or cooking of the metal underneath because of the heat trapping quality of the fibers.
You have paid the price already, no need IMHO to spend more unnecessarily.

My vote is to NOT wrap it. Particularly if you live in an area that is exposed to salt (coastal or winters). The salt will accumulate underneath the wrapping, and surface rust the stainless steel (yes stainless steel). My cattman stainless Y pipe developed some surface rust after last year, so I immediately took it off and left it off. Another reason is exhaust wrapping is expensive. There really isnt any benefit to wrap it cause its underneath of the car. It wont heat the engine compartment up like headers will.
