Well, some of you are familar with a group buy that happened like 4 monthes ago on groupbuycenter.com. Well i kept emailing the guy who set up an indiglo gauge deal with the honda/acura guys and inquired if they make one for the maxima, saying that i was from MaximaDriver.com and blah blah blah we've got over 1500 members on the bbs and such... Well, he wrote back and said we need "50 for sure purchases in order for the factory to develop them." So i said fine, i'll get 50. the price would be around $50 US i believe.. and they would be manufactured in Taiwan... They would be white faced and at nite the whole face would glow green.. similar to the Lexus GS gauges..

well, i for one would like to get them, so if you're interested, please post a reply to this with your name and email, and once i get 50, i'll be emailing it to him..

i dont have his email on this computer that i'm using now, but i'll post it later tonite.

Yea this is the same guy

cuz i saw the same deal on groupbuy n after so many unanswered emails, i decided to give him a call. after talking to him i was able to get this groupdeal going with the iridescent/indiglo gauges...therefore the more ppl we get going for either these indiglo or iridescent gauages, the better!!!!

I'm in as long as a dash kit for a digital odometer exists since my car is a 99 SE-L.

btw, can you turn the brightness down? I've seen some hondas driving past me with those bright indiglo dashes...and seems like their dashes are brighter than my headlights =)

mail me with regards to digital odometer pls...! tclee@purdue.edu

btw, if its $50 or so...I'm in...otherwise I'm out!

So they look stockish during the day? What's the point? I dunno about y'all, but when I'm driving at night any glowing tends to distract me. I find that the stock SE guages with the dimmer down os that I can just see the guages is about perfect. Why would you want a glowing light shining on you in the dark? Maybe I just have sensitive eyes, but I think that would bother me, I get bothered by the green glow of cell phones...

FYI,

remember.. the gauages are quite different for 95-97 vs. 98-99's (needles pointing diff direction..

1. They do already have that made in TW.. (non-digital/analog odometer 95-97 only/ but the fuel needle is pointing at the direction of 98-99)...
but the speedometers are in Km/h... (good for Canadian Max's)
so they need to convert that into MPH

2. There aren't too many coilover kits.. due to the road condition (bad pavement, potholes, etc)... but they do have ADJUSTABLE Genuine NISMO SHOCKS and SPRINGS for A32 cefiro (Maxima)... running about $1000 for set of four shocks and $500 for set of four springs?

Could you request them to make the dual colors? I'd pay 50-100.

FYI, $80+ this is what Craig emailed me.

Thanks for the info. I will push for the 4th gen models then. 50 is as few as I can go... actually I have to order at least 100 from the manufacturer to get them made. I wanted to get at least 50 so that at least I would have
a commitment for half before I get them made. I figure the other 50 will probably sell somehow, either locally or through other internet resources.
I am also pushing to have the 5 color convertors included, so they are changable from light green, blue, violet, purple
etc. They will probably be around $100 - $150 retail but I will be offering them to the people who sign up to make the 50 or around $80. The retails are always higher on custom orders because they cost me three times as much as premade indiglo versions.

Anyway, I'll keep you informed as more and more people get signed on. That should give us some sort of time frame
on when we can expect them out. Just metion this deal to as many people as you can with the same kinda cars.
The more people get signed on, the faster we can get them made up. Unfortunately I also have website and local sales and Installations to worry about, so the more people like you can help out, the better. If its all left up to me it will take a long time to get it done, because although I want to help, I am left with little time in my day to try to recruit people for the gauges.
Thanks! Talk to you later!
