Door panel inserts are cliped on.

Check these pics out. They have these metal tabs you can bend to hold them in place.

Do people with leatherseat.com leather seats remove these to glue on the new ones?

Wow! I am happy I have not put my door inserts on yet!!! Knowing this I can just remove the insert piece with out taking the door off(correct?) and then attach my inserts! No cutting and all that crap.

SO please tell me, how exactly do you go about uncliping them? Thanks!

You do have to take the door panel off to get to these metal tabs. They are on the back side of the door panel.

I took my panels off before and didnt see any tabs back there. is there a difference in year and trim? the other post, a guy said they are glued.

why cant mine be that easy...im doing the same exact thing but on a 3rd gen and the cloth inserts are glued DIRECTLY on the door panel its not a seperate piece that clips on

yea the 3rd gen inserts are glued..and maybe some 4th's

When I took my door panel off I don't remember seeing these clips. I'm pretty sure my 96 is glued also.

I never looked at mine. I installed my inserts with the door panels installed. I saw no reason to remove the panels.

i cant put the leather over the cloth because theres not enough room to tuck the leather in around the edges, so i gotta rip off the cloth then get some foam padding and glue the piece of leather to the padding then the whole thing onto the insert area
