i can't see where it would be illegal but i wouldn't want to pass a cop. unless he's way under the limit and you can do it without going over it.

Case in point, Verizon Wireless is not hiring too many telecom or datacom people, yet they are growing--their work is in merging various billing systems ie cobol and bean counters. You didn't say if you took law classes in undergrad or you went to law school--big diff. Starting salaries here in philly for top law grads are in the 110k-120k range, and that's not bad for someone 28-30 years old. You'd need some serious experience to get that in IT and you'd be managerial not staff. Right now law would be better money imho and CPA would be 2nd to that my .02
a lotus notes certification gets me 130k a year... what IT proffesion are you talking about?

If I would have gotten a ticket I would have gotten his badge number and looked into it further, but seeing as he let me go, I wasn't going to question things.
Buffalo weather sucks. We had the worst possible driving conditions today (yet people STILL refuse to drive prudently). Terrible things happening, transformers blowing up all over the place. We even happened to see a plow truck on fire and caught it all on camera and gave the tape to one of the local news stations.

Anyways- last week:
my friend and I (stillen_i30) were driving to campus down a long street called Niagara Falls Blvd. Speed limit is 35 and that area is ALWAYS packed w/ local cops looking for speeders. Usually we're carefule there, but i dunno what happened, next thing I know, he zooms off and I find myself passing him at 80+ MPH. We slow down at a red light next to each other, and a cop pulls up behind him. After the green, we both get pulled over.

The cop was not gunning us, so he had no specific speed to nail us with; we simply said that we did not how fast we were going. He said that we must have been going 50-55 MPH.

He goes to write the tickets... and comes back with a ticket for "imprudent speeding" due to poor road conditions. His excuse was that we both have clean records, blah blah blah. I think the real story was that he didn't have an actual speed, he just saw us fly past him and wanted to bust us for it.
