2K2 Auto Runs 14.31!!!

2K2 Auto Runs 14.31!!!
Well I went to the track with my new cat-back and I'll just say I'm pleased with the results. I ran 6 times and all in the 14.3's. Well the best run went like this:

60'...2.210
330'..6.065
1/8...9.238
MPH...77.90
1000..11.984
1/4...14.314
MPH...96.72

I was hoping for 14.2's, but I guess I'll have to wait until my next mod... y-pipe? VB Mod? Any other suggestions?

4.5 hour round trip to the closest track and it's closed for another few months. The G-Tech is my only friend

You know GTech isn't reliable at all right? This guy at my school with a Civic SI told me he ran a 14.0 with his GTech. I didn't believe him, so I raced him and killed him. And I doubt I could run 14s. So...

Depends how you test it, if your friend tested his car on a 45 degree down hill slope then yeah he could have done a 14 . I don't swear by it but I think it is fairly accurate and it's great to test mods before and after. I tried one run on the salty/sandy roads near my house and all I could muster(stock) was a 14.9 @ 98 MPH, on that launch I did 0-60 6.8

I agree the GTech is great for testing mods before and after, but that's about it. Some people really swear by it. I told them to go test their car out at the track, and got the dumbest reply, "I got my GTech, I don't need no freaking track, I know I'm fast".

It seems the cat-back knocked off about 1-2 tenths. Before the cat-back, I ran a 14.4 with a cone filter, but I think it was due to the 40 degree weather. Tonight was about 55 degrees. BTW, as I always do, I ran with full interior, spare, tools, and some misc. things in the back seat to get a true representation of what I run on the street.

Now I know that the 6spd's can definitely hit sub 14's with the right driver.

About a third of a tank. To be exact, the trip computer said "92 Miles To Empty."

That's great news. Then we'll be able to keep up with Russ and his VW Jetta that's running in the 13's.

Good lord that is hot.We went to track with Veetec today and he was running 14.4-14.6 with a 97 SE 5sp with intake,y-pipe and exhaust.I can safely say he put to sleep a WRX an Acura type R and a modded Mustang GT.

I you were in Atl you shoulda been banging door's with him down the 1/4mile.

I won't speak for anyone else but the 15 I got was exclusively b/c of inexperience with launching the max. (hence my 6.4 60')

Congrats on the amazing time , I need to take lessons on how to launch from you and Eric. Eric and I got our vb mods today and it's only been a few hours but I strongly suggest that this be your next mod.

Hmmm, I disagree. I don't see how anyone will be able to post better ets in hot weather. The VQs hate hot weather due to it's high compression. I see as much as +.4 and -2mph between runs on a 85 degree day vs running on a 55 degree day. These guys are running in 40-50 degree weather which does make a huge difference.
