Mod my 95? Buy a 5th Gen? Get new car?
The dilema is i'm wondering if its worth it to mod my '95 GXE auto with 77K or wait until next spring when I've paid off my '95 and trade it in for a new 2001 GXE manual. Or keep my '95 and buy a weekend racer like a '89 Supra Turbo. Or just get a whole new car for about $20K like a '94 Supra or a '92 300ZX TT heavily modded or like an early '90s E300. I can make my '95 hella fast for $8-9K, but it's still a '95 Max with 77K miles
I would keep the Maxima and buy a used 90-93 300ZTT and mod that. Keep the Maxima for a everyday car and the 300ZTT as a toy. You can buy a 90-93 ZTT for less than $15K, take about $2-$2.5K and mod it to about a stage 3 or 4. Then it will do low 13's to high 12's.
Your Max has plenty of life left in it; hold on to it for a while and enjoy driving it with the additional knowledge that it's paid for. Use whatever you were paying off on it for mods or a new toy (Supra or 300ZX both sound like fun to me).

I've been thinkin of that for a while, but I'd like to get an MR2 Turbo or Celica All-Trac for a toy

MR2 Turbo and the Celica All-Trac would be great toys !!!! If I had to choose I would pick the MR2 Turbo !!!! Same engine in both but the MR2 looks better.
That's a MB E 300 not a Lexus ES 300. It's nice to know that my car is paid off next spring. And since i just turned 20, that's even a better feeling. I thought about geting a weekend racer so I can hit the track and show up punks on the road in their Hondas. But i figure my next car will need to last until (gasp) marriage. So maybe a 2001 GXE and eventually modding that. But if I do keep my car, a '91 TT is what I might get. But that's out of my price range. Maybe an early '80s 280Z with a fatty turbo or a late '80s 300ZX Stage 3+ mods. But I still like the idea of a '89 or '90 Supra TT. I saw one running 10.0's and he said he was under $10K in it. wonder if he's telling the truth
