Battery fuse location

I have a 07 maxima and I can’t find the battery fuse. There is a fuse box right beside the battery but it doesn’t have a fuse for the battery. Anywhere else under the hood I can look? My car won’t take a jump start, the lights work on the inside but the headlights won’t turn on. Mechanic said it is probably a blown battery fuse considering the headlights don’t turn on and it’s not taking a jump by another car.

Change mechanics ASAP. Good God, anyone who would tell you this is incompetent and frankly, needs to be investigated for fraud. While some cars DO have a circuit breaker or main fuse (usually 50 amp or higher), the fact he is saying this after seeing you have SOME power (inside lights) going into the car indicates he doesn't know a gawddam thing about cars.

There are fuses built into the positive cable right where it meets the battery.
