That curved tube (red circled at the photo top) appears to be your transmission vent tube with a bolt/screw plugging it.

Nothing “goes” there, including that bolt.

What generation Maxima are we talking about here? What year is your Maxima? Looks like a 3rd gen.

Yup, as was said, get rid of the bolt in your tranny's breather tube and do a drain and fill of the fluid while you are at it, for that fluid is probably cooked!

The bottom thing is the electronic part of the front motor mount.
