First I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area but I can't find infinity.
The occasional blinking D light started a few weeks ago and when it happens it won't shift however if you pull over and turn the car off and restart it it shifts just fine. Thanks for the help in advance.

A blinking D light usually means that you have an issue with the transmission. I would do the basics first. Check transmission fluid level and condition. Have you plugged in an ODB scanner to see if there are codes?

 

I have a few CAT codes that have been there for years and I now just lately see a P0505 IAC code pop up. Idle is OK but kid has complained it's been a little sluggish more then likely because of the IAC issue. Nothing pertaining to transmission issues however I read that it's not uncommon to see no codes with the D light blinking issue. Fluid is old old old.

 

Post this in the 5th gen forum section and you may get quicker results.
