Colored ring on headlight bulbs?

Can anyone tell me what the colored rings on headlight bulbs (9004) represent? Do they represent wattage? I've seen red, blue and silver.

Maybe just changes from company to company depending on the company colors.
Examples

1.On the stock ones everything like writing is red and so is there logo. The gasket is red.
2. On my sylvania the package and writing and logo is in light blue, so is the gasket.

I think thats all there is to it.

It's just an o-ring environmental seal. The color of the seal is just for show. Just make sure it's not dirty before you re-install the bulb. Also make sure the sealing surface in the headlamp housing is clean.
