Is this a part from my car?

Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting here, but I’ve been a fan of this forum for a while—and appreciate all the helpful insights shared by the community!

Curious if anyone can help settle my concern over this part?? — It appears to potentially be some sort of mounting bracket, which I became aware of when hearing it bang along the underside of my 2014 Maxima while driving.

It caught my attention bc I did not notice anything in the road before I heard this noise—and when I returned to see what I might have hit, I found this part, which looks conceivable to have come off my car, but nothing I’ve researched has identified it.

I just need to know if this is a safety concern and anything to be replaced/repaired or irrelevant to my vehicle and can be scrapped.

Thanks in advance, I truly appreciate y’all’s help with this!

To determine if it's a safety concern, I recommend inspecting the underside of your vehicle where you found the part. Look for any loose components or areas that seem to be missing brackets or supports. If you're unsure, it might be best to consult a mechanic who can identify the part and assess whether it needs to be replaced.
