Anyone tried Desktop Dyno2000 yet????

The 3 Liter VQ is in the software and it looks to be pretty accurate in power for what mods you add to it.

So far I've gotten 342HP at 7500 RPM and 269 lbs ft tq at 5500 RPM's

I'm trying to see what I have to do to raise the torque in the lower RPM ranges.

Nice software.

I have it, Loren has it and Don has it.

Its very detailed, I almost doubt the accuracy of the information. At one point I used the exact config that I have on my car (and OEM specs) and its figures were low.

I don't think its fonfig is for the VQ, but you can start close. The pistons are bigger/cam config is different.

You gotta have all of this info to make this work right.

I found when I had all stock parts on the Nissan V6. I could only get about 140 HP. Sound like a GM motor to me.

You can order it online. I found it at Autozone when I was getting some things for my lady's car.

From this software, I'm seeing that a turbo is probably going to be the VQ's best friend. I just slapped a Garrett T45 48-9 @ 10psi and this is what the dyno looks like:

Prime dyno.

someone needs to make a videogame where you can buy any car you want and then put any upgrades you want on it, and then go racing in it.. that would be the best game ever, seriously

I saw it one day and thought about picking it up but did not know if it was all that great or not. I think though it seems kinda fun and might pick it up? Is it very difficult to use?

Well, it seems you need to know your stuff when it comes to the engine but its not hard to select parts and run the dino. I'd say buy it because there is something to be learned with it.
