How are TSW rims????

Does anyone have any experience with TSW rims?? If so, what do you know about their quality? Thanks.

I know Ange (97MaxGurl) got in an accident with her TSWs. I think they got hit hard but came out with only a few scratches. They weren't bent or anything, so they are built pretty good. Unfortunately, they are pretty heavy from what I have heard.

Hope this helps.

I justdon't like their designs, they are pretty boring. You can find better styles for less $.

Quality is good. They are both notoriously heavy and soft however.

what are you guys talkin about

TSW have some of the best quality rims out there.
i have my TSW revos and i love em.
my friend has the VX1s, and i use the TSW Concepts for the track.

my overall impression, yea. they're kinda heavy. but they're beat-down strong.

my revos have survived hard *** hits, and even when i hit the curb at like 40 in my accident, theydidnt crumble in, like other rims might have (think Pioneer's incident with his borbets and the curb)

i like TSW, and for the price, i'd take TSW over Konig ANY DAY.

TSWs

I've had these 17x8 TSW VX1s for just about a year. They survived an accident where 85% of today's rims wouldn't. I also run them through the crappy streets of NYC. Surprisingly, I just had the wheels balanced/aligned and the mechanic said to me that not one was bent.

One drawback: They are heavy as bricks. I say they weigh about 35lbs w/ tires. Do not expect to get as good of track runs with TSWs compared to stock SE wheels etc.

Don't underestimate Konigs, they came out with banging new designs for 2002, but there are better wheels out there like Mille Miglias, Racing Hearts, SSR's....keep in mind I am talking quality wise, TSW's have boring designs....and also keep in mind I am sort of conservative when it comes to wheels. For some reason Cheston's Revo's look good on his Max but TSW overall is bleh.

Heavy

I have the 18x8 trophys and like them. Wheels plus tires = 52ish lbs. I have one bent/cracked that needs to be fixed, but other than that sweet. I still have no idea what the He!! happened to crack that rim. Don't let friends drive your cars people.

I can't even begin to list all the people I know who have bent TSW wheels. My brother, Adam, Steve, Aaron, Mike and J'Son off the top of my head.

I know big 'Atom' hated them.. There are some people who haven't had good pass with TSWs, maybe that's a quality assurance issue. I donno if Ches and I are among the minority, but consider the fact that we both got into 'curbside-jumping' incidents only to be left with scuff marks is pretty damn remarkable. I had a bent front right sway bar/damaged CV joint, but not bent rims.

Anyone who ever been through the pothole filled, metal plate covered streets in downtown NYC knows how wheels take a pounding. Highway construction in Queens is just rediculous. I go to NYC twice a month, I've had these wheels for 1 full year (or 17,000+ miles). That's a lot of periodic potholes and uneven pavements that my TSWs had dealt with, yet they are not bent.

Time to change the rubber
