Pretty good for an 8". After a new headunit, it sounds 10X better.

Does it play real low, like down to and encluding 20hz? Does it get reasnably loud say 120-130db? What amp is it running of off and at what ohm load? what size and type of enclosure? sorry for the q's ive heard the 10"s and 12"s and 15"s but not the 8"s and might end up running one.

I don't know if it will hit down to 20hz. I doubt it. The freq. response for an S8L7 is 28-100hz. I wasn't looking for SPL with an 8" so it not really loud. I couldn't even guess the db number. It's power by the sub channel of a PG XS6600. The sub is wired for 2ohm load. The enclosure is .75 cubic/ft. It's a sealed box.

Re: Pics of my sub.

Hey Tony, is that a custom install, or does the back of your seat look like that? It fits so perfectly in that panel.

Re: Re: Pics of my sub.

It's a custom box. The sub was like $219 from an authorized dealer. Cheaper online. The box with plexiglass see thru from the trunk was ~$200.

looks good but probbaly dont sound that great. It would hit twice as hard if i was firing into the trunk rather into the cabin.

Yeah...but I hate trunk rattles. With this setup, it pretty much force all the sound into the cabin.

I'm willing to bet it sounds pretty good, just not loud.
