Re: VB mod is in but.......

maybe cuz u put in the VB into an already worn out tranny?

i remember when we took out Skimax's VB and put it in Buss95max's tranny. it chirped 2nd all the time and NEVER did in Ski's.. even tho Ski has a 97, buss a 95, just that buss' tranny was in much better condition and much stronger..

oh well.

Re: VB mod is in but.......

Your tranny is already worn out like Cheston said. I can't chirp second either, but that's because at full boost, the tranny really doesn't hold the power that well.

i think the complete rebuild at level 10 costs like 3 grand..i dunno if anyone on the org has done it yet. in my opinion..i dont think its worth it. the valve body mod is good though.

i think they sell a kit for like 650-700 dollars and its just the internals for the tranny. its the rebuild kit i am interested in. the (3k tranny) is a tranny with the rebuild kit and a valve mod mod so you got to pay for the tranny, VBMod, Rebuild kit plus labor to putit toghether.

Could be the tires. When I had my stock 15" rims with stock tires on, I could chirp second gear quite often. Now that I have more stickier tires on the stock 15s, I can't chirp second gear anymore. Although, Don did told me that my tranny might be in pretty bad shape because the VB core that I sent back to him had rust in it. Too expensive to have it check out, so I guess I have to live with for now.

The kit from Level 10 is 700. The 3k is that kit installed, thats it. No vb mod, no tc upgrading in anyway. Also there clutchs modaswell be paper.

Find a good tranny shop and do some crazy custom stuff like me .

I can't either, maybe because I have 245/40/zr18. I do break them loose in 2nd if I hit the juice at 3000rpm.

I posted it in both forums but here is the list:

Upgraded and blueprinted transaxle for extreme duty application, which includes durability upgrades, balancing of internal components, and valve body modification.

Custom axle

Custom Transaxle housing

Heavy-duty differential

Torrington bearing set

Teflon Bushing kit

Kolene direct steel

Ceramic direct clutch pads

Kevlar Bands

Billet clutch drum (high Drum)

Race sleeves

Tapered roller bearings

Ring and Pinion Gear set

Case harden torque converter input hub and fluid balanced the converter

Hardened input shaft

A Custom form of Posi traction

New gear ratio

Grade A bolts

Custom Fluid

Pressure Switch

As you can see, not just stronger but better in everyway.

Considering it's one of a kind, theres no kit. It would depend on you going to my guy and saying I want exactly what he got, or finding a shop and asking them to do somthing similer, so the price would vary with the shop and state and so forth. But as for a doller figure just figure it's out of 99% of peoples price range.
