VB mod is in but.......
hey thanks to don VB mod went like clock work sort off. he delivered as promised. very pleasant to deal with. but one question how come i can't chirp secound????? just wondering.

maybe cuz u put in the VB into an already worn out tranny?
i remember when we took out Skimax's VB and put it in Buss95max's tranny. it chirped 2nd all the time and NEVER did in Ski's.. even tho Ski has a 97, buss a 95, just that buss' tranny was in much better condition and much stronger..

Your tranny is already worn out like Cheston said. I can't chirp second either, but that's because at full boost, the tranny really doesn't hold the power that well.

ohhhhh ok thats what i figured i have a lot of miles on my 99 and i driven it hard plenty of times before the mod. thats what i was kinda figureed it could be. hey thanks guys!!! oh well have any of you two heard anything about the level 10 tranny rebuild kits. alot of money to be spending with out any word on how well they work.

Could be the tires. When I had my stock 15" rims with stock tires on, I could chirp second gear quite often. Now that I have more stickier tires on the stock 15s, I can't chirp second gear anymore. Although, Don did told me that my tranny might be in pretty bad shape because the VB core that I sent back to him had rust in it. Too expensive to have it check out, so I guess I have to live with for now.
