sentra spec v numbers by motortrend.

2002 Sentra Spec v
0-60 7.22
1/4 15.5 at 90mph (wow not bad for a na 4 banger)

They state that at almost any rpm wheel spin is just a toe tap away...with allot of torque..
That sounds about right...they expect 0-60 and 1/4 mile times to go down some as the engine gets more broken in.

It's a quick car, but the High MPH leaves one wanting a little more

I would think so too that 90 mph would be like high 14's. Actually some are getting like 15.1 with cold air intakes. At 91 or 92 mph. Maybe they suck on the low end, but are able to make it up some closer to the 1320' mark

My frined's SE-r is currently bone-stock...he's run it twice this week. first run was on Sunday, he had some trouble launching and mustered out a 16.9. says the traction was terrible and he spun through 1st and 2nd on the line finishing the race in 5th gear... anyways tonight was a totally different story...he ran consistent mid/high 15.5's all night long, his launches were still kinda "iffy", but like someone already said for a 175hp 4 banger thats pretty good. I've downed the styling of this car before, but in person its a damn nice ride and the mods for this thing should be sick!!!

Technically it does, but all cars aren't the same. I pulled a 15.4 at 91mph. My brother's 97 SE 5spd pulled a 15.1 at 89mph. It's all about top end or low end. All cars are different.

What kind of car does high-14's at 90? I looked up a Mustang GT auto and it was 14.7 @ 96. Accord V6's trap out at about 88-89 mph with a mod or two and they're nowhere even close to 14's.

Sprint-
It's also the traction availability of the track. Not everyone is a poor driver. I've got close to 75 passes down my track and I have yet to do better than a 2.26 60'. I've tried everything to launch my car. I've launched anywhere between 1500rpms to 5000rpms.

Everyone-
It's all in the 60'. 89-90mph trap speeds do equal 14s if you can launch extremely hard (1.9 60'). Whether or not your car can leave the line with this much traction is the question. Unfortunately for the automatic group, your pretty much screwed. To get a hard launch means you have to launch at 4000-5000rpms in a Maxima. You guys aren't able to do this unless you have a very highstall torque converter.

Roughly, a 1.9-2.0 60' should net the following on average:
89-90mph = 14.9
91-92mph = 14.7
93-94mph = 14.5
95-96mph = 14.3
97-98mph = 14.1

Rather have a:
VR6 GTI mkIII,MKIV
Let alone the new one coming out.

The aftermarket support should be good in the future.

the sentra has better aftermarket support and a better project car for modifications than the GTI

That is "HIGHLY" debatable.

There are turbo VR6 GTI let alone Twin Turbos. Lots of chips, exhausts, body kits, etc etc etc.

At the Toronto auto show, they had a Sports Compact section that featured a Golf with TWO VR6s!! One in the front and one in the back. Amazing stuff.
