First impression with Infiniti G35

I went to Richmond automall in BC this afternoon and had a short 5 minutes test drive. The car is listed for $42,000 CDN. There are only 2 options available: Navigation system ($3400) and Sports package. Sitting inside the car, you will find it's smaller than Max but the seats are more comfortable. When you readline it, the engine sounds great. I had a chance to take the car to 180km/h. It was a great experience, but certainly not for the salesman. I personally think it's way much better than Lexus IS300. Anyway, I'm going to do another test drive tomorrow. I strongly recommend everyone go to your local dealership and take it for a spin. It's definitely worth for trying it.

For a almost fully loaded canadian G35 that equals $26,373.63 USD!

Thats less then my unloaded max..

R E L A A A A X ! ! ! ! !

Sure!! Come live here, where you can:

¥ earn 57 US cents on a metric dollar, in the land of the frozen peso!
¥ freeze your tush and nuts off if you don't have the heated seats or steering wheel options
¥ amaze yourself on how our military can survive on a non existent budget, 50 year old equipment, and borrowed spared parts.
¥ come to northern Ontario, where mosquitoes are the size of B-52's and suck you dry.
¥ pay 50% more at the pumps than US drivers
¥ pay 8% PST AND 7% GST on almost everything you buy.

BUT.... it's still a great place to live, and yes, Maximas are cheap and plentiful.

Is it possible for People in the US to go up to Canada and buy a car there, and bring it back to US?

Can't wait til the G35 hits the states!!!

Hey, it's still an automatic though right? I'll wait for the manual and then decide.

Yes, someone on the org has actually done it. I can't remember who the member was but do a search and PM him, see if it's worth it.

What exactly do you get with the sport package?

I'm waiting for a third party independent dyno of it before I purchase.
I have my eye on the Z, G35, G35 6spd, and 2 door.....who knows maybe the new 2k3 max. Gotta wait and see! Still too early for me to throw down.

g35

given the day and age i dont know why nissan didnt come out with a 5/6 spd version as soon as the car came out it should have been available with a manual tranny. hell that will probably shave a .5 sec off 0-60.

Or live in vancouver B.C. where:
- it snows once or twice a year and last one or two days
- mosquitos are the size of pin heads
- you can drive 30 min across the border to get cheap gas (lower octane also)
- drive 2 hrs to whistler, summer or winter to party
- pay 7.5% and 7% on everything you buy

No buts, no regrets, its an awesome place to live, you just better like hockey.

oh that. I was trying to forget about it, but thanks for reminding me.

my dad got pulled over a few days ago for reckless driving in the 240SX. He was weaving in and out of lanes and got pulled over for it. Pretty funny if you think about it, my dad's over 50 years old.
Hopefully it will be dropped.

after my little incident though, I've tamed down. I don't speed anymore, max is like 5 over the limit.

5th gear is your friend.
