How fast 0-60 is a 98 SE 5spd? I read in a mag it supposed to be around 7.0 and my old 95 Prelude 5spd is 7.7. Why does the prelude feel faster, because its smaller and louder? I want to race the two side by side to see how it really turns out. Any thoughts?

There are two reasons why the Prelude felt faster:

1. Loud gives the impression of going faster.

2. The engine in the Prelude needed to be revved and is very "peaky". You felt the hp rise because the torque is so minimal. Therefore it gave the impression of accelerating harder. The Maxima has lots of torque down low and accelerates easily. I doubt your Max is any faster than the Prelude from a roll. From a stop the Maxima will have a clear advantage and will pull car lengths from the get-go. That's is where the Maxima is quicker.
