My car is officially FAST again!!!!!!

ok...so I fixed my injector problem last week.....but I still had a VERY leaky y-pipe....so I put a new y-pipe on today with a test pipe in place of the cat....and ****.....my car hauls some MAJOR A$$!!!! It's SO nice having my power back again.....now I just have to go to the dyno next weekend and confirm...but the power sure does feel like it's there....we're talking 30hp at the wheels.....definitely something the "butt dyno" can feel....

Glad to hear that. BTW, did you fix your on-the-bottle-too-high-fuel-pressure problem yet?

How did you fix the injector problem? Which injector(s) was bad?

VQdriver - I ran 14.0-14.2s two different times at the track....in September...and October. I ran that time on a 50-shot with bolt-ons.....no...many people have said that if an N/A maxima is capable of 14.3s.....then my 50-shot time is not impressive at all....BUT....just look at my trap speed, it's SIGNIFICANTLY higher than any N/A maxima...and that trap was done into a 30mph headwind. With a good 60ft and no headwind...my car with the 50-shot could EASILY have gone 13.7-13.8.

Nismo87SE - my #1 cylinder injector was sticking at WOT...if I pulled the plug after a WOT run...it would have LOTS of carbon on it....when I pulled it after normal driving...the carbon started to go away. I replaced that injector and it's PERFECTLY clean now.

So basically you did a power balance test . Lucky for you it was cylinder #1, if it was 2-4-6 you'd have to pull the IM. Otherwise good find err kill .

cylinder 1 IS on the rear bank on the VQ....I DID have to remove the intake manifold....wasn't that bad though...I could probably do the job again in under 2 hours.
