Tell me what you guys think about this matchup. First who would win stock and then how much faster is the Mustang when it has pulleys, cold airintake flows 373 gears, diablo chip, bbk headers, cat, and drag radials. He says he runs 12s...BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also...with $800 in mods could i take him????

Its a ford they break down most of the time. Just race him, you might have a chance at winning if he tears up the high quality ford parts . If he doesnt break down, youll lose unless you get a supercharger...but wait you mentioned 800 in mods.. I think you could get nos and maybe have a chance to at least hang with him..

Or it could be like this kid in my school who got a 98 mustang svt edition, sc'd from his dad as a "gift"...he had a grand cherokee auto and has never driven 5 spd, lets just say he stalls it about daily in school, and when he does drive once he got nervous and dropped the clutch...and all Im going to say is smoke show...

A stock 98 5spd max will run a stock 98 5spd Vert stang. With his mods though, you are toast.

stock 98 gt vs 5-speed max, i would put money on the max cause i beat a 96-98 mustang gt with my auto max but i also have y-pipe rt cat, greddy sp and Cai. But with the mods he says he has, don't even bother he will kill you.

It is a convertible so stock for stock you would probably win due to the extra weight he has to carry, but then with 5-speeds it is always up to the driver. I have no idea what his mods will do to his car in terms of increased power, but I would assume that they would give him an easy advantage unless you have a 100 shot, which would require more than $800 to install with everything you would need to make it safe to run.
