2 unrelated questions...

-Are you using spacers for the rear wheels? It looks like it sits perfectly flush with the fender, I like it a lot.

-Can you feel the timing increase on the butt dyno?

On the butt dyno, yes. Its no where near the same as the JWT ecu( a dyno proven 10-15 peak hp on 3rd gens), but it gave the car a kick. When I first did it, i could tell esp at low rpm. It just takes off easier. Hard to tell now because I did last spring. I've heard the timing adv vs. the jwt as comparing a lion to a kitten, but the lion is 500 bucks and the kitten was free at my nissan dealer(the love my mods).

Yup. H/R spacers. 5mm on the front(may fit without em), and 15mm on the rear, A MUST. I'm not sure if its because of the car or beacuse I lowered it, but it took a lot to clear the strut.

The grip is really great. It still leans a bit in the turns, but my stock rsb is kinda comming off its mount on the driver side wheel. I can rocket through turns in the rain....its great!

Keep the comments commming, i like it

Where did you get your spacers and how much are they? I may need to use some for my front wheels since my right tire rubs when I turn my wheel all the way to the left.

4 other people have had the same problem as me too using 225/55/16 tires.

Please let me know. Thanks

Mike,

A couple of questions that I keep forgetting to ask you:
  • How are you liking the "new and improved" EBC Greenstuff pads? Are they holding up better and dusting less as EBC promised?
  • Did you have any issues with the SE cluster since you have a 93. I'm particularly thinking of the O.D. off light, which is between the temp and fuel gauges on 92 to 94s.

Kingston- I got my spacers from Stillen. I belive I paid around 50 bucks for the 5mm and maybe 75ish for the 15mm. The kit is high quality and comes with new studs. Don't cheap out and skip putting on the studs.

Bill- I do like the new ebc's. I think I may have become complacent with the braking force so it does not feel "special" to me anymore. But they are strong, even with drums in the back. The new formula dusts MUCH LESS. That is a large improvement.

As far as the guages, no problems. I didn't want the 92-94se's cuz I wanted a matching redline. However, I did loose the o/d light, but I like not having it cuz I keep the o/d off a lot and i don't like seeing it. You can always just feel the switch to see if its on of off. Later model nissans have a button that doesn't change position like our 3rd gens.

One problem. Tonight going to the gym my temp guage flashed C for a couple secs! Then it popped up to the middle. I cought it doing it a couple months back. I may have to replace that pod, in which I get a temp/gas guage from a 92-94se so it will be perfect!

I doubt its the thermostat. The Needle went from the middle to C in a matter of 1 second, then back up. Its either a loose connection of the guage is failing. I'm pretty sure the thermostat is not an electrical device. I think the signal comes from a sensor somewhere else.

NissanLove: The Altima in the pic is my moms 01 GXE. She had a 98 Altima SE, and that was much cooler than the 01 gxe.

Mike you car looks sweet! The rims suite the car very well and I'm sure the extra stability through the rim witch increase can only help! Love that color!
