Run in with Altima 2.5 S

I noticed him coming up fast bheind so I got over and ropped to thrid gear to get ready. He comes up and I get on it. So does he. We were pretty mcuh even from 75 - 110mph. I may have been edging a little, but it was hard to tell.

But we came to a long sweeping off ramp that is marked for a Max Speed of 40MPH. I already knew I could take it a 75. He never caught up after that.

Did you happen to notice if it was a 5spd? Although we all know there are some automatic driver who like to "shift" as well.

Racing is bad, you can kill someone, what were you thinking taking a 40 mph turn at 75 mph, what were you thinking going 110 on a public highway, you should be removed from the gene pool for racing...

good kill

Man those are like 8.7 to 60mph in auto and the manual isnt that much faster, you should have been able to take that without a prob.http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadt...5/article.html

Are there any private roads or highways in NYC or Long Island?

Dont believe magazine times...Car and Driver reported 0-60 in 8.1 for my car...but I g-teched it at 6.7...so draw your own conclusions...

Plus, they only have 10 HP less than my car. Soo if the driver was a skinny dude, unlike me, that would have made up for that. I definitely feel that the 2.5 altima is a run for a stock engined 4th gen like myself.

Altima 2.5S:
Manual: 3046 lb
Auto..: 3095 lb

I think a 4th Gen auto is somewhere around 3060-3080 or so, depending on the year and equipment.

Does this "highway" happen to be the I-85 interchange with I-65 South bound? (I REALLY like that turn - 40mph )
