NE1 know the easisest way to flush the cooling system????
I've asked a couple of times with no response. Someone out there has had to have done this themselves, Please help! I have the Prestone flush kit which calls for the heater intake hose. Where is the best place to access this. Thanks in advance.
Hmm.. I thought the one I used was preston too..
what I did was jsut drain all the antifreeze from the system, (with cold engine).. add flush stuff, then fill the rest with water. run the car for 1/2 hour, let cool, then drain and fill with water. run 1/2 hour. cool. drain.. refill with water... run 1/2 hour.. cool.. drain.. fill with normal antifreeze/water mix, and you're done.

not sure if you buy my answer but..
I did a change last time.....took long...
well I also bought the back flush tool...but I could not seem to be able to fit the tools properly and i am having problems locating the right pipes.....
anyhow
this is what I did
warm the car up to op temp
let it cool down
drain it from the drain tap...don't bother with the engine bolt...I gave up trying to loosen it....
open the radiator cap
pour clear water inside until you see just water coming out of your drain tap
close your drain tap
fill your radiator with water till full
close cap
turn on car
rev a few till 2k..see if car temp is normal
if not turn off
if yes, let it reach op temp again
let it cool down
open drain tap
repeat above steps...pour water till clear water runs out
close drain tap
put radiator system cleaner in.
then fill up with water.
close radiator
run engine and check by reving
get it to norm temp and let it cool down.
then repeat the drain and flush process
and then the last step is to refill with your mix of coolant and water...........
make sure you check your car by reving next time you start the car!
That's what I did...
good luck and have fun
