Maxus 2002 in Vegas!!!
West coast guys want it near the west coast.....East coast guys want it near the east coast....why not stick it smak dab in the middle of the country......so both east and west coast have the same distance to travel???

Last time i checked this wentto at least 5page's.
I'll make this simple and str8 forward.There is no way am driving across the country for this event so...why not break down Maxus into different region's.
NE guys seem to want NY or NJ
SE guy's had wanted to go to FL
West coast guy's seem to be pushing for Vegas....

NE is a better location
More people will show up, I want to go to a meet where there will be 200 Maximas, they has like 120 at the LSP meet, that is more than we had at Maxus last year.

There can still be a big NE meet (and I'm sure there will be), but Maxus needs to make a trip out west. It's the left coast's turn to host.

Do a search on me asking about this. Finally someone else is worried. My Vote "VEGAS" West Coast rules, our members have got there ish together now, and can work on outnumbering the east coast.

As long as there is a NE meet with at least 100+ maxima's sometime, then have Maxus be out west for all those guys to enjoy.

Dallas Texas, I think that it is right in the center of the country and it is a large city with stuff to do! I would love to go to Vegas, but that is a long drive from Mississippi and I would really like to go to Maxus this year!

seriously, the turnout would not compare to NE, think about it, NE is so close together and its a much shorter distance for everyone there to travel to a huge meet than us west coast people.
our drive from northern cali to san diego is like their drive from virginia to new york or something (I dont know, im just speculating).
maybe we should split the maxus's? West Coast Maxus 2002? then they can have an East Coast Maxus 2002...and Central Maxus 2002?
you know, its too hard to have people drive 3000 miles for a "car meeting", ask some people and they will call you mental.
a west coast/central meeting in Vegas would not be a bad idea, but the NE people will miss out...can't have everything go right. we need a big meet too...but with the way some of us w/c's (myself included) flake out...its going to be hard.
hope this makes sense...im sleepy.

Think about it, if you have the meet in NE, all the northeast and DC ppl will be there. But hardly anyone from the midwest or west coast is going to be there, you're leaving out 75% of the country.
However if we have maxus in vegas we'll be leaving maybe that 25% from the east coast but i'm sure that a lot of them will have a reason to come out just because it's such an awesome location. It's a very drivable location for everyone up to two states away, and there's plenty of hotels and a big airport, air fares are cheap to vegas as well as are hotel rooms.
Anyway, I just know that there's NO WAY most of us will be able to make it to an east coast meet, not to mention there's just not much incentive aside from the maximas. I'd just like to be able to have something on this side of the country for once. I think vegas is a good compromise.
Mozy, a lot of us west coasters have our **** together MCC meets have been having huge turn outs!
anyway not trying to offend anyone but I just think it's about time we West coast/Mid west ppl got a chance to represent!

I have to say the Vegas site is attractive. Even if you can't drive there, flying there is cheap. With all the members attending, getting a ride from airport, around town would be easy, and a good way to make and meet new friends. Last year when I traveled to San Diego on a business trip the SD boys were awesome.
Kansas City would work as well, and it is right in middle of country. BTW, When is Maxus scheduled? Who is taking responsibility for planning events? This year I know Dallas and I will attend to put alot of names to faces and to show our toys.As much notice as possible is important to those who have to request a vacation. Just my 2 cents.
