Tire Choices

as some of you know I ordered Wheels and Tires. The wheels are on their way from Vancouver and should be here by Monday.

The guy called me today and was told by the supplier that the Yokohama AVS S1's are no longer available in the size I want (245/40/18). He is suggesting that I get the Dunlops and he said they will guarnatee that they will not chunk when I go to the track(road course).

I have never been a fan of Dunlop, has anyone tried them? I am now looking at the Yokohama AVS Sports and the Brigestone S03s.

Need opinions/suggestions of those that have gone to the track.

Sorry, this is OT: Why are they coming in from Vancouver (where I am)? I thought this was a huge store in TO. They don't have a new location here or something do they?

damn son, for Michelin Pilot Sports in the tire size you want, $282US/tire on TireRack! that's around $465CAN/tire (ballpark) at a 1.65 exchange rate

the dunlop SP9000 are $198US/tire, the Yokohama AVS Sport are $256US/tire ... read the reviews on all of them, but if you want balzz out performance, i'd go with the Pilot Sports

haven't ridden in one, but from hearing someone who's driven the new M3, he said that he took the DVP entrance ramp (the big O - driving west on steeles and entering the DVP South) at around 90+km/h and they stuck like glue

cheers

Dunlop SP8000 here. They stick like glue. A little noisy, but overall an awsome tire.
