ok so i got the NOS 5124, fuel pump, window switch, fuel pressure gauge, AFR gauge and everything...

Now, what are you NOS guys using for an adj. fuel press. reg?
And HOW do you tap into the fuel rail or whateva?

explanation & pics (if possible) GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I have been told (i asked the same question before) that any universal FPR will work just fine. Where to go to get one, I'm still waiting on that answer. As for tapping in, you would just disconnect the connections at the stock regulator and use those to feed the rail. Are you a 5spd? What window switch are you using? What FP did you go with? Just curious.

You need a regulator off fitting to use a adj regulator with the stock fuel rail, I bought mine from SXR7, and for the regulator I just used a Paxton from summit racing.

I'm not a NOS guy, but I believe Thomas was selling Sard FPRs with an adapter for the fuel rail. The cost was reasonable too ~125 for the FPR and maybe 30 for the adapter Just to wonder where did you pick up you 5124 from since no one seems to have the kits on sale anymore?
Hope that helps.

I got a Sard FPR from sx7r. Approx 135 plus 10 for the off fitting. The off fitting replaces the old fpr at the end of the fuel rail. From there run a line to the input of the fpr and the output hooks up to the return line from the old fpr. Vacuum connection is the same. I installed mine today, haven't tried it with the Nitrous yet because I don't have it all installed, but the pressure was easy to set 34-43 and easy to check the WOT pressure by pulling off the vacuum line.
It was real fun getting off the old fpr held on my two phillips screws, one I had to take off with a chisel and the other I drilled and used an easyout because I couldn't reach it with a chisel. I even sprayed it before I attempted to take it off but the salt had taken its toll I guess.
I have donated at least two units of blood since I bought this car and I have scars on my hands to prove it. One today and one when I changed the fuel filter. I am going to wait for a week or so before I do any more work to give my blood a chance to get back to normal.

PM sx7r about the fpr's if you are interested, he shipped it really fast and many people on here have purchased from him. Good guy

You should really use an impact screwdriver on those screws.

the first time i resorted to vice grips from the side of the screw head. worked fine. by the way, i got the SARD adapter on today. i ended up putting the FPR about 2 inches in front of where the stock FPR would be, but it took 4 AN fittings though - lol. yours is on the way.

jaime: i just replied your pm.

here's a pic of the off-fitting installed:
http://www.sx7r.com/sx7rpics/011002/enginebay2s.jpg

it basically bolts up in place of the stock FPR and has a barbed adapter on one end to accept a fuel hose which will lead to the inlet of the aftermarket FPR.

What we usually do in our country is replace those cheezy philips screws with Cdn Robertson head screws that don't slip or cam out or allen key head screws. Philips screws well they have outlived their usefulnesss. I had an impact screwdriver but got rid of it when I quit bike racing and had no use for it until I bought this Max. However, I will eventually replace all the problem screws with ones with quality heads.
