Torque wrench question

I went to the store and saw different kinds, but how do I set the correct torque, there are no numbers on the damn thing?

There should be numbers on the bottom of the handle for adjustment

There should be numbers on the thing somewhere! If you're looking at the (better) micrometer type torque wrenches, maybe the handle/micrometer is turned all the way up so that it's covering all the numbers?

well, I went to Home Depot, and they have wrenches starting at 15 bucks, but none of them had any numbers...I'll go to Sears tomorrow, see what they have. I am itching to put my new wheels on

Forgive me for asking, but are you SURE you're looking at torque wrenches? They absolutely have to have numbers on them or they are 100% useless!

A torque wrench by the way isn't actually a "wrench", it's a socket driver. Sometimes ratcheted (like the micrometer ones) and sometimes not (the cheap but OK beam type). They usually come in 3/8" and 1/2" drive types. Make sure you pick the drive with a torque range that suits your needs - they are different. I bought a 1/2" drive for those heavier jobs.
