Murderous Maxima on CNN

Like the headline?

Anyhow I was just watching Brown on CNN and he was showing footage of Robert Blake being arrested and there was a 5th Gen Maxima GLE among the cop cars, not sure if it was Blakes...

The Notorious GLE...

cops drives imports??!!!
now that would be headline news to me.

I thought the cops have to policy, belief, or wherever you call it, that they will only use domestic cars.

I don't think it's a national policy, more like a local "we have to ues domestic" attitude. About two years ago the PD in a town near me tried six hot-rodded Honda Accords, but I think they've phased them all out in favor of new LTD's and Impala's. Not that it matters too much what type of car they drive, the police around here are limited to a maximum speed of 90mph and aren't allowed to get into any high speed chases.

Driving near Chicago and through Texas, I came across a couple of Camaro Police Interceptors. Those things look sweet. Should've raced him.

Aside from the photoshop, the max at 125 should be revving at over 5000rpm.

I was outside St. Michael's church in Flushing, NY one Saturday for a funeral mass, went outside for some air and noticed a black Maxima with limo dark tints parked in the NO STANDING zone. I feared that it might have been one of the funeral attendee's cars so I walk towards to check. As I approached it from the front, I noticed a red lamp like this

http://www.ilfireandpoliceequip.com/...ultraflash.gif

mounted on the dash and the tell tale orange-colored EZPass. Looked on the console, saw the computer and some toggle switches near the shifter...even looked in the cornering lamps and saw strobe capsules...yep, an unmarked popo Maxima.
