1994 GXE suspension

I recently bought a 1994 Maxima GXE. The car needed new front lower ball joints and front motor mount to pass inspections as well as new front tires. After the work was done the suspension was a tight as could be. The car drives much rougher now and I feel every bump in the road. The people who did the work could not explain the change, but suggested I replace all the struts. For a price of over $650. Does this car have electronic suspension? The only reason I can think of for the ride to change so dramatically and all the struts needing "going bad" at once is something happening to the electronic suspension control . If it does not have the electronic suspension I will have the struts replaced. Thanks
